DR. LAKEITH SUTTON, LCSW, LICSW, LCSW-C
My Skills & Experience
MY BIO
My name is LaKeith Sutton. I am a proud DC native, dog father, and Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. I have been practicing therapy for 7 years and during that time, I have worked with children, adolescents, families, couples, and individuals. I have helped clients deal with grief and loss, depression, anxiety, personality disorders, and other mental health barriers. I take an integrated approach to therapy because I believe therapy is not one size fits all and clients need different approaches to therapy. Despite having an integrated approach to therapy. I am trained in some evidence-based practices, specifically in Trauma Systems Therapy & Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
I am a graduate of Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. I received a Bachelor of Science in Sociology with an emphasis in Social Welfare and African American/African Studies in 2011. I attended Temple University for graduate school and earned a Master of Social Work degree with a Clinical. Lastly, I hold a Doctorate of Social Work from The University of Kentucky.
